How calculations work (summary)

  2. Inverter VA ≈ total continuous watts × 1.2 (to allow for start/peak loads).
  3. Battery Ah at chosen voltage = (Total Watts × Backup Hours) ÷ (Battery Voltage × DoD × Inverter Efficiency).
